Caitlin Gunn won the “Where in the Woods Am I?” game for Northern Pond Natural Area in Monroe in December 2014 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:
My most recent hike was a bit gloomy, with fog, freezing drizzle, and clouds blocking out the sun. But it was still nice to get outside and breathe some fresh air. You can’t always wait for blue skies to go on an adventure.
See if you recognize the trails we snowshoed by viewing the photo gallery below. Since the snow covers up a lot of distinctive features in the landscape, I’ve included a few signs we passed along the way. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post (when I get around to updating it!). And as always, stay tuned for this week’s “1-minute hike” video and writeup about the adventure. There were a few comical moments, that’s for sure.
