Where in the woods am I? Witch Hole Pond

Robin Folger, Christopher Allen, Heidi Riggs and Carolyn Newbert won the “Where in the Woods Am I?” game for the Witch Hole Pond loop in Acadia National Park in January 2015 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

I took Oreo on a snowy adventure on Friday near the ocean. The trail was full of activity. We ran into at least 20 skiers and snowshoers (and one dog) throughout the day. I can see why it’s such a popular place in the winter. The terrain was beautiful, with small cliffs, towering evergreens and frozen ponds.

See if you recognize the trail by viewing the photo gallery below. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. As always, winner gets an internet high five and a mention in the updated post. And if you’re interested in checking out this trail for a good moderate snowshoe or cross-country ski, check back tomorrow for the “1-minute hike” video and writeup on the trip.
