Where on the water am I? Jones Pond

No one won the “Where on the water am I?” game for Jones Pond in Gouldsboro in May of 2015 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

For years now, I’ve been posting videos, descriptions and stories about Maine hiking trails. Now I’m expanding my horizons. I’ll be exploring the Maine outdoors by foot and by kayak (or canoe). I also plan to do more biking. And I’m sure, if I get the opportunity to try any other outdoor activity, I will. But don’t worry, I’ll still be posting plenty of hiking trails.

Last weekend, Derek (my fiancé) and I loaded two kayaks onto my Subaru and we hit the road to check out a pond not far from the Maine coast. See if you recognize the pond by viewing the photos I took while paddling. We first hugged the shore, looking for wildlife, then paddled to a few small islands scattered throughout the pond. According to the map we used, there are seven isles in total. Another hint: the pond covers less than 500 acres, and many houses and camps are located on its shore.
