Maine hikes to be topic of book signing, talk in Bangor

Glenburn author Greg Westrich will talk about Maine hiking trails at a book signing scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Epic Sports in Bangor.

outbooks050615-2.jpg Westrich is the author of “Hiking Maine: A Guide to the State’s Greatest Hiking Adventures” and “Best Easy Day Hikes Camden,” both released in April. The two books, published by FalconGuide, include a wealth of information about a variety of Maine trails, including driving directions to trailheads, maps, historical information, facts about local wildlife and plants, and comments about the terrain.

“I try to do a lot of research of each area,” Westrich said in a recent BDN story about the books, written by yours truly.

The book signing event at Epic Sports will include refreshments and presentation by Westrich about his experiences while drafting the guides, ending with a Q&A session.
